In Taiwan's current period of economic growth,
both public and private organizations are aggressively expanding their
role in the finance and service industries of the Asia Pacific region.
While the past forty years have seen exponential growth within many
financial markets of the world, competition has equally increased as
well. All institutions will need firmly established financial plans and
strategies to maximize both resources and financial opportunity.
The Department of Finance provides theoretical training for those who
pursue financial management and fiscal planning careers as well as
educational opportunities for enhancing the general knowledge of those
with related interests. In order to meet these criteria, we have
assembled a faculty of leading professionals, recognized for both their
academic and professional achievements. Our education provides a strong
theoretical base needed for identifying market trends, analyzing
economies and investment strategy.
For students majoring in finance studies begin with basic theories and
introduction to a diverse range of financial academia. Students are to
understand and be able to apply accounting, financial theory and
regulations, currency management and market principles at a high level
before progressing on to advanced studies. Advanced studies will
include but are not limited to bank management, investment speculation,
international financial markets and management of investment
operations. After graduation, our alumni can expect to have careers in
banking, securities, Insurance, financial consulting companies,
academic research institutes and many other institutions of industry
and commerce.
We fully complement Shih Hsin University's commitment to providing
students with a encompassing and well rounded education. Many students
who enroll in our classes are aspiring journalists and future educators
who wish to increase their awareness of financial matters as applied to
their career interests. To further enhance our educational and research
opportunities, we currently participate in several middle and
vocational school teacher training programs to provide early exposure
to finance and economic studies. To develop the research opportunities
of our own campus, we are promoting opportunities with the finance
departments of several universities in the United States and Japan.
